This week has been nothing short of a hot ghetto mess. Mainly because we decided to put our house on the market and move to the suburbs of Atlanta. But first, we have to find a house in the suburbs of Atlanta. Which is an undertaking in itself. All this while preparing for people to look at our current house, having family coming in to visit this weekend and planning to go out of the country in 3 weeks.
Not to mention, my husband just came back from Home Depot with a hand saw.
He initially went there for paint. This might be a problem .
So there was no delicousness via the Southern Souffle this week. But there was “a plenty” via some of my favorite folks.
My brutha from another mutha Billy does a kickass line up of his faves every week. I figured “what the hell” let’s totally bite his style and do the same.
“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”.
Oh and I’ve got Katy Perry here to help me and she’s so excited she dancing.
“Last Friday night.. Yeah we danced on table tops
And we took too many shots… Think we kissed but I forgot”
My ATL Homie Megan showed you how to make Whipped Cream . Without Whippin… using a mason jar.. Brilliant. (via Stir and Scribble)
Now Whip It, whip it real good.. No Shake it.. Shake it for ya hood. (I just made that up)
Then my other sista Megan made Berry Crumble Ice Cream ( that is the real reason Katy’s dancing). Think Pie and Ice Cream with Pie crust like crumbles. Then say hallelujiah for Megan. (Via Take A Megabite) Now scream and shout and let it all out (I stole that from Wil.I.Am)
Newsroom alert- I know 16 people named Megan. Random but just thought I’d share.
Cindy gave us brownies made with oat flour. Which to me, means they’re healthy. So I shall feel no shame when I make them and eat the entire pan. Oh and there’s a little cayenne in them. Clearly she’s a genius. (via Hungry Girl Por Vida)
Lauren..my dear dear Lauren made us Manhattan Ice Cream Soda. Did you hear me? I said Manhattan Ice Cream Soda. Which is a combination of my favorite things in life. Bourbon-Ice Cream- Cherry Soda. Well Done…Well done indeed. (Via Climbing Grier Mountain)
Billy showed you how to make your own Peanut Butter and Jelly. Now all I want to do is mix them together …take my spoon and get my homemade “Goober” on. Bravo Billy-That’s your new nickname. (Via Wit and Vinegar)
Now my girl Stephanie knows her Dough, but she also knows her guacamole. Black Bean- Pineapple guacamole. Now all I need is some chips.. so I can Dip Baby, Dip Baby. Sorry I just couldn’t resist. (via Girl Versus Dough)
The good folks over at Happy Yolks made campfire cobbler but the best part of it all was the video.. I’ve read this post and watched that video I don’t know how many times. Alls I can say is Preach!! (via Happy Yolks)
And in all things great and wonderful. Naomi Of Bakers Royale made a chocolate cake. but then she crushed whoppers and put them along the sides of that cake. Then I started drooling on my keyboard. (via Bakers Royale for BHG- Delish Dish)
And in unrelated food news.. Did you watch the Game Of Thrones season finale? If the answer to that is no then this will make absoulte no sense. But listen, Jon Snow broke up with Ygritte and left her in the cold. All this after he tracked her down and told her he loved her. Causing a tearful Ygritte to lift her bow and shoot him with 3 arrows as he rode off into the sunset on his horse. Lookin like a human pincushion. This made me think back on all the times I had that feeling. When love leads to intense heartbreak. Has you sitting in a dark corner, crying your eyes and writing dark poetry about the wind. Think of how gratifying it would of felt to have shot the piece of shit that broke you down with arrows. Bravo Yrgitte.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
